  • Learn how to work with the machine—not fight it.

    Learn: threading, machine control, straight stitching, turning corners, and topstitching. The flow, the feel, the logic of assembly.

    Focus: building control and understanding how fabric + machine = construction.

    Mistakes are part of it. This is about building muscle memory—not chasing perfection.

02 - EVERYDAY CONSTRUCTION.

    We focus on control, straight seams, and clean corners—skills that actually carry over to everything else you’ll sew.

  • All pieces are pre-cut, so you can focus on how to sew—not how to measure. You’ll be guided step-by-step through constructing a standard pillowcase using the “burrito method” (yes, it’s a thing, and it works).

    This method creates fully enclosed seams—clean on the outside, clean on the inside, and holds up in real life.

  • How to set up and control a sewing machine

  • How to construct and attach a pocket

  • How to turn, topstitch, and finish edges cleanly

Apron Workshop

02 - EVERYDAY CONSTRUCTION.

  • All pieces are pre-cut, so you can focus on sewing, not measuring. You’ll be guided step-by-step through assembling a full apron.

    This is about control, alignment, and understanding how separate pieces come together into something wearable.

    You’ll leave with a finished apron that really holds up.

02 - EVERYDAY CONSTRUCTION.

$100 | 2 Hours | Ages 15 + | Beginner

  • All pieces are pre-cut, so you can focus on sewing—not measuring or second-guessing. You’ll be guided step-by-step.

    This isn’t just “sew and go.” You’ll learn how to build something that holds weight, keeps its shape, and looks intentional.

    Small class size (maximum 4 students)

Before moving into 03 Technical Foundations, you are expected to know your machine. Not vaguely. Not “I think I remember.” Solid, independent control. You should be able to: Thread the machine and wind a bobbin without hesitation | Troubleshoot basic issues on your own | Position fabric correctly under the presser foot | Start, stop, and reverse without thinking about it | Sew straight, consistent seams with an even seam allowance | Adjust needle position for seam allowance and topstitching.

If you’re not there yet, this will not be the place to figure it out. Go back to 02 Workshops or book a few Private Lessons. Get comfortable first. Then come back ready to work. This series moves forward—no hand-holding, no rewinding.

Sewing Atelier - Fashion Camp for Adults

A full day session of various sewing techniques. You’ll leave with a toolbelt of techniques and the confidence to sew like a pro.

You’ll learn:

  • Hemming techniques (clean, durable, and appropriate for different fabrics)

  • Elastic insertion and waistband construction

  • Pocket construction

  • Zipper basics

  • Presser feet: what they do and when to use them

  • Machine control, troubleshooting, and precision sewing

03 - TECHNICAL FOUNDATIONS.

  • The Sewing Atelier is a full-day, hands-on session.

    You’ll move through a series of focused techniques used in garment construction: hemming, elastic, pockets, zippers, and machine control. Each skill is taught, practiced, and applied with intention.

    This is slower, deeper work. You’ll understand not just how to sew something—but why it’s done a certain way, and how to repeat it on your own.

03 - TECHNICAL FOUNDATIONS.

  • Hemming is one of the most visible parts of any garment—and one of the most poorly done. In this workshop, you’ll learn multiple hemming techniques used for different fabrics and finishes.

You’ll work through essential pocket styles and understand how each one functions, with structured samples to learn each technique.
