For adults and mature teens ages 15+.
Skill level: Beginner+ You should be able to thread a sewing machine and bobbin, sew a straight seam, turn corners, and use the machine with minimal assistance.

Cost: $130 - one 2-hour session.
Taught by Cristina of Bumbleroot Design.
Beginner-friendly, with some sewing-machine experience required.
All materials, patterns, thread - included in workshop.
Maximum 6 students.
A follow-up bag-making class is planned.
If you use reading glasses, please bring them.

This is a focused 2-hour workshop centered on how to start constructing bags.
Curious about bagmaking? Start right here. This workshop introduces the fabrics, zippers, tools, and construction methods used to make handbags and accessories. It’s a prerequisite for future bagmaking classes at Sew Dandelions.
You’ll choose a prepared kit from a selection of canvas and home décor fabrics, with coordinating or contrasting zippers. Then you’ll sew a simple zippered pouch using Cristina’s pattern. She’ll show you how to work with thicker fabrics and seams, explain the choices behind the pattern, and share ways to adapt it later - including adding a strap to make a wristlet.
You’ll leave with a finished pouch you can use at home, take traveling, or give as a gift.
