    • $21.00 - drop-in 3hr session

    • $90 flat fee/5-session pass (must be purchased at the studio)

  • Sessions are 3 hours long.

    • You’ll have access and use of all sewing machines, serger, sewing supplies, cutting table, professional iron, art space and art supplies.

    • We operate on an honor system for certain specialty materials and supplies, like: pattern paper, muslin, certain fabrics, zippers, batting, etc. Everything is labeled. Price range: $0.25-$5.00, and must be paid in cash or Venmo at the studio.

    • We will not be monitoring anyone, but trust that you can help us keep the fabric and supply room stocked.

    • An instructor will be on hand to answer questions, help get supplies, and troubleshoot, but we are not there to teach.

    • Although you can reserve your time online, walk-ins are welcome if there’s room. Reservations are strongly encouraged.

    • Heads up! If there are no reservations for an Open Studio session, the studio will likely be closed and walk-ins will be impossible.

    • Max 2-3 individuals in the sewing and art studios during an Open Studio session.

  • This is your unstructured creativity in our studio space. It’s a free-form access to our creative workspace for emerging artists, fashion students, crafters and makers who just want to work on their projects.

You are there to work on projects that you bring yourself, or want to start.

You can hem your pants, draft or borrow/copy patterns, drape on a mannequin, quilt, meet like-minded artists and crafters, enjoy some tea and coffee in our Parlor (if no class is in session), work on your knitting or needlework, and just enjoy the creative community.

We ask that you leave the studio and your work area as you found it.

If anything is missing or you’d like us to get something particular for you, please let us know. We will consider all inquiries.

Before you Come - q&a

  • ‘Open Studio’ is free-form access to our creative workspace: emerging artist, fashion students, crafters and makers, ages 17+.

You come in, you make stuff - no structured lesson, just inspiration, tools, and time to do your thing, your way. Bring your projects and supplies, or use ours.

    • There are two creative rooms and a cozy lounge-style front area, that we call a “parlor”.

    • Sewing stations: sewing machines, an overlock, threads, supplies.

    • A 4’x8’ cutting/pattern drafting table with a motorized base to fit your height and need.

    • Art space: drafting table, paints, drawing materials, collage + mixed media.

    • Textile and fiber nook: yarns, hooks, needles, fabric scraps, embroidery hoops.

    • Clean, calm, funky, and very Sew Dandelions.

There’s also a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, tea and coffee setup.

Restrooms are just outside our space in the hallway.

    • Coats can be hung in our designated area near the kitchen.

  • Open Studio for Adults, 17-64:

    • $15.00/2hr session

    • $21.00/3hr session

    • $67.50 flat fee/5-session pass (must be purchased at the studio)

    • It’s not required, but strongly encouraged to book your Open Studio sessions in advance. If there are no bookings, the studio is closed.

    • Sewing machines, irons, rulers, thread, pins.

    • Art supplies: paper, paints, pencils, pastels, inks*.

    • Knitting and crochet supplies.

    • Fabrics, yarns, buttons, trims*.

    • Aprons, good lighting, and music that doesn’t suck.

    • Creative atmosphere and supportive energy.

    * We use an HONESTY SYSTEM on some materials and tools - prices are listed, are nominal, and you drop it off in a jar. Thank you!

An honesty system, also known as a trust or honor system, is a method of operation that relies on individuals' honesty and trustworthiness to follow rules without supervision. It's based on the assumption that participants will adhere to a set of ethical guidelines or expectations without constant oversight.

  • Nope… but this is NOT a class - so if you want instruction, check out our courses or 1:1 lessons.

That said, we love helping people feel at home and will absolutely guide you if we can. There will always be a knowledgeable instructor around, ready to troubleshoot.

  • No more than 2-3 makers to keep things safe and spacious.

Walk‑ins can’t be guaranteed but are welcome and reservations are highly encouraged - that way, you know the studio will be open. When no one is registered, the studio is closed.

  • In case of bad weather: All guests must wear indoor shoes, or slippers - no bare feet, socks or outdoor shoes inside.

If you are a “regular”, you can store your indoor shoes in our cubby.

  • No, not for Open Studio.

    • Bad weather? Everyone must wear indoor shoes or slippers - yes, adults too. No bare feet or socks, thanks.

    • We ask that you clean up your creative work station when you're done, making sure all tools are accounted for before you leave.

    • We sanitize our sewing machines and work surfaces daily.

    • Our restrooms are just outside the Parlor, in the hallway.

    • Every guest is required to wash hands before entering the studio.

    • If you are not well - please stay home and visit another day. We reserve the right to deny entry to visibly ill guests. It’s nothing personal - it’s for everyone’s health.

  • Please, no food/snacks in the art/fiber areas. We have a reception lounge where you can take a break. We’re mindful of allergies and clean-up. You are welcome to bring a water bottle that does not leak when knocked over.

There’s a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, and water boiler for warming up drinks. We also offer tea and coffee - which you are welcome to enjoy outside of the art and sewing studios.

We’re keeping it allergy-aware and tidy - thank you for understanding.

    • Cancel 24+ hours in advance for refund (minus 30% for administrative work), or reschedule.
