Sew Dandelions Studios Presents "Runway Rebels SS26" – Young Designers' Fashion Showcase
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 4:30pm (doors open at 4:00pm), Sew Dandelions will present Runway Rebels SS26, a dynamic fashion show featuring original collections created and modeled by local talent, aged 8–15. The event takes place at 309 South Street, New Providence, NJ 07974.
Students have spent weeks sketching, draping, sewing, and crafting their own mini-collections to present onstage. From fabric sourcing to brand-building, to the final walk, these creators are doing it all themselves. This is not just another cookie-cutter performance - it’s their design debut. What they wear is what they made.
“As their instructor, watching these young designers rise to the challenge of building their own fashion narrative, their brand, is what this show is all about,” says Dominique Kurzawa-Howe, Founder and Creative Director of Runway Rebels. “This is their moment. We’re giving kids the spotlight they deserve - this isn’t just a fashion show; it’s an opportunity for self-expression and confidence.”
Expectation is high: lights, music, an emcee, a backdrop for photos. Guests will be able to mingle, snap photos, and talk with the young designers about their creations.
Tickets are priced at $8 plus tax in advance, with a door price of $11, and children under three get in free. The studio is accessible via a short flight of stairs (about 10 steps); there’s a free parking lot behind the building off Floral Avenue, plus two-hour street parking out front.
About Sew Dandelions: Founded by fashion designer and educator Dominique Kurzawa-Howe, Sew Dandelions is a boutique art, fashion, and design studio in New Jersey. At 309 South Street in New Providence, the studio offers hands-on classes in sewing, design, textile arts, fine art, workshops, summer camps, and special events. A creative studio that opened its doors in May of this year prioritizes sustainability and hands-on learning in a nurturing environment.
The Runway Rebels show is the culmination of the 2025 Summer Fashion Bootcamp for kids.
