    The guest of honor sets the theme in advance with our help. Sew Dandelions supplies the materials—and the unexpected extras. Young designers build a collection and shape a story around it.

    Creatives step into the role of Designers-in-Training, exploring fashion illustration and three-dimensional design as they build and style their own themed fashion figures. This is vision, texture, and self-expression—not crafts-for-crafts’-sake.

    Guests illustrate, design, and dress fashion models on heavy weight paper, layering fabrics, trims, and mixed media to create bold, sculptural artworks.

    This is not a craft table party.
    This is a hands-on fashion studio experience for young creatives.

    Guests work directly on quarter-scale mannequins, learning the basics of draping by pinning, shaping, and styling bold, flashy fabrics in unexpected ways. Think texture, volume, movement. Tiny designers making big decisions.

    WHAT WE DO

    Alongside draping, each artist designs and hand-sews their own crown or hat, using large needles, embellishing with flowers, jewels, ribbons, and fabric. Every piece is wearable, personal, and unapologetically expressive.

    It’s immersive, tactile, and a little “wild”.

    Perfect for birthdays or special celebrations for kids who love to make, explore, and experiment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. You’re welcome to bring food and drinks. We have a small kitchen area for setting up snacks and a dining table for the kids.

    Food setup and deliveries may begin up to 30 minutes before the party start time.

    During the party, we’ll schedule:

    • food/snack/movement breaks

    • one cake break

    All children will be asked to wash their hands before eating and again after, before returning to studio work.

    Please note: Sew Dandelions does not provide food, drinks, cake, tableware, or serving supplies.

  • No.

    Please bring all tableware, napkins, candles, and serving items needed.

  • No. Your booked studio time is yours for that afternoon/eve—we do not book more than one party.

    That said, we do ask that guests are prompt and respectful during cleanup so the space is left as it was found.

  • Small, normal messes are part of creative work and eating party food.

    However, large spills involving food, drinks, or substances that damage materials, tools, or flooring may result in a cleaning or replacement fee. We appreciate care and common sense.

  • Yes. Parties are drop-off friendly. All children must have a signed waiver on file prior to the event.

  • Yes. Restrooms are located in the hallway outside the studio.

    PLEASE remind your children to wash their hands after a bathroom visit and to double check that they have flushed the toilet.

  • The short answer is: YES.
