Real-life stuff - distinctive, meaningful, not the usual pre-bought, glue-and-glitter junk.
No experience? No stress. All skill levels welcome, for ages 8-13.
This is how grassroots startups are made: Children build a company from the ground up. The day begins with a brand challenge - choosing a company name, designing a logo, mood board, and crafting the narrative that makes an idea unique. Once the story is clear, we’ll get into prototyping, using sketching, illustration, clay and whatever materials are needed to bring concepts to life.
Campers will pitch ideas and financials to a friendly “investor,” receive constructive critiques from peers, and then get back to work refining and building. This iterative process teaches resilience, creativity and basic business skills along with design and craftsmanship.
Returning campers can keep developing the same company across multiple sessions or start a new venture with a fresh concept. If, after a full five-day camp week, a camper sticks with one product, they’ll earn the chance to showcase their work in the Sew Dandelions Fashion Show on September 13, 2026 — a real runway experience where family and friends see their hard work come to life.
This hands-on day camp empowers young creators to dream big, think like founders and turn their sketches into something real.
All materials included. Children take home all projects. Children are welcome to bring in clean thrifted clothes, dad’s old shirt, jeans, t-shirts - something they want to remake.
